Berowra Lions Club Welcomes its Newest Members

Tonight, our club welcomed our newest members to our Lions Family. A big welcome to our club to Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons (Honorary Member), Sophie Hudecek, Stella Talati, Melissa Knudson and Katrina Padero.

As Club President Geoff Turnbull said tonight following the induction ceremony "Congratulations on your choice to support your community this way. Being a Lion is a commitment, but it is one in which the rewards of service far outweigh the time we give".

An interesting side note was that, with her induction, Lion Sophie Hudecek became a 3rd Generation Lion following in the footsteps of her mother Lion Janice Turnbull (still an active member of Berowra Lions Club), and her "Poppa" who also served as a Lion.

Joining the virtual induction ceremony tonight, we were privileged to welcome District Governor Lion Jennifer Touzel, District Governor Elect Lion Jon Copson, GMT District Coordiniator PDG Lion Elvio Munzone, MD201 GMT National Coordinator PDG Lion Ann Eldridge and MD201 Club Care and Retention Chairperson PDG Lion Rob Royal. 

Also assisting and observing the induction ceremony were Lions Graham Estreich, John Bull, Chris Hunter, Colin Hunter and Janice Turnbull.

We welcome all our new Lions and wish them all many happy years supporting our community.
