After an extremely busy yet productive year, at our recent Changeover Dinner, Lion Ros Fuller was awarded with a much-deserved Secretary’s Commendation
Ros took on the Secretary’s position this year, following Christine Hunter relinquishing the role after some years of performing it with excellence. Ros threw herself into the role with unbounded enthusiasm. Not only did she deal with all the correspondence, take minutes at board meetings and handle all the parts of the role you would normally associate with being the Secretary, she also dedicated herself to mastering and updating our club records in MyLCI and MyLion. This dedication has ensured that our clubs reporting has been done accurately, with detail and in a timely manner. So thorough was the work that Ros completed, her reporting was featured as an example in an online training seminar on how to report through MyLion.
Ros always kept us on our toes, frequently reminding us of things that we might have forgotten (and sometimes had forgotten!). She applied herself with gusto to revamping and relaunching our new newsletter, something that she now takes on as editor as a part of her role for the next 12 months.
Many in our club found her dedication and enthusiasm for the role quite motivating and inspiring, and a great example for the incoming Secretary to emulate. This commendation is very much deserved. Congratulations Ros from all at our club.
